Beyonce Directs Intimate Documentary About Her Life

See Beyonce in a new way in her directorial debut in an intimate documentary about her life.

The revealing movie will be streaming exclusively on HBO on February 16, 2013, and features both unreleased footage of her performances and her personal life.

Michael Lombardo, The president of HBO’s programming made the announcement today (November 26th),

Everybody knows Beyonce’s music, but few know Beyonce the person. Along with electrifying footage of Beyonce onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman.”

The documentary was directed by Beyonce and features exclusive first-person footage. Some of the shots was on her laptop, reflecting the realities of stardom, motherhood and her extraordinary life.

The film release will follow up her performance at next year’s Super Bowl Halftime Show on Februrary 3, 2013.

There have also been rumors of a new album, 2013 is looking like a promising year for the “Halo” singer and her family.
